Dr Jeffrey Wang, Managing Director Tritech Group Limited Dr Jeffrey Wang is the managing director of Tritech Group Limited. He is responsible for the overall operation of the program, including strategic planning, administration and marketing. He is a modern and forward looking migrant from China.

He obtained his first Ph.D degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1989, and was conferred his second Ph.D from the National University of Singapore in 2004. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore. In addition to numerous awards received throughout his career, Jeffrey was a Guest-Professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, China.

Ever since Jeffrey came to Singapore in his twenties, he had been actively involved in many consultancy, construction and engineering projects in Singapore. He was in charge of the design and supervision for more than 100 projects in Singapore and overseas. He was the technical leader for a number of mega infrastructure projects in Singapore.

In 2000, Dr. Jeffrey Wang initiated his own business venture, Tritech. With enduring efforts spanning a few years, Tritech rapidly become a group of companies with a wide range of business scope from design, consultancy, site investigation, instrumentation & monitoring, engineering survey, ground engineering to construction. Jeffrey hopes to establish a group of companies to provide an array of new technologies for customers in our region.

Dr Cai Jun Gang, Executive Director Tritech Group Limited Dr Cai Jun Gang came to Singapore in 1994 with the award of scholarship from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), obtained MEng & PhD and then worked as Research Fellow in the same university from 1994 to 2001.

Dr Cai has been a key researcher and specialist consultant involved in a lot of R&D projects related to underground space utilization and development in Singapore, which are funded by National Science & Technology Board (NSTB), Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA), Urban Development Authority (URA) and Jurong Town Corporation (JTC). He is active in society activities. He is the Hon Secretary General of Singapore National Group of International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM), and the Member and Hon Secretary of International Symposium of ISRM. As a researcher and specialist consultant, Dr. Cai has published more than 100 technical papers in international journals and conferences in the fields of engineering geology, site investigation, geophysical exploration, hydrogeology, groundwater & water technology, rock mechanics & rock engineering, tunneling engineering, geotechnical instrumentation & monitoring, numerical modeling and computer applications.

Dr Cai is one of the founders of Tritech, and devotes his life to the company’s business development, management and operation. He always cherishes sincere hopes to apply new technologies & research achievements into practical engineering projects, towards the purpose of providing innovative solutions to engineering problems.

Dr Loh Chang Kaan, Executive Director Tritech Group Limited Dr. Loh was born in Malaysia in Year 1969 and became a Singapore Permanent Residents in 1994. With a study grant from Kuok Foundation, he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University Technology of Malaysia (UTM) in Year 1993.

He was awarded the prestigious Tunku Medal by the Tunku Abdul Rahman Foundation, Ministry of Education Malaysia, as the Best Graduate of the Year (1993) for UTM.In Year 1994, Dr. Loh furthers his study at the National University of Singapore and obtained his M.Eng and Ph.D degrees in engineering.

Dr. Loh is a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore and Malaysia. He has been actively involved in many consultancy, construction and engineering projects in Singapore and Malaysia. He is a specialist in ground engineering works and played important roles in major civil engineering and building projects. He is an invited speaker and trainer for various seminars and training courses for deep excavation construction and geotechnical monitoring works.

Dr. Loh is an idealistic and practical entrepreneur. He in charge of business and technical development, operations and commercial issue of subsidiaries companies. He played an important role in setting up Tritech competitive setup and growing it from strength to strength.

Dr. Tan Guan Hong - Managing Director SysEng (S) Pte Ltd Dr Tan, the Managing Director of SysEng (S) Pte Ltd, has 24 years of industrial experiences. He worked in Philips Singapore from 1980 to 1993 as a Product Designer, Quality Manager, Production Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager and Senior Manager. He started SysEng in 1994 to develop Automated Measurement Systems for various industries.

The company has many Test systems, Remote Automated Civil Engineering Instrumentation, Vibration Measurement and Image Inspection systems. He has presented technical papers on automated remote monitoring systems, which have been operating for many years. These experiences cover system design, sensor selection, grounding, and lightning protection for robust system. The various project experiences in www.syseng.com.sg has been productized. SysEng has evolved to a Machine-to-Machine (M2) solution provider specializing in wire-less and Internet communications for outdoor industrial applications.

For the last few years, SysEng has been focusing on the wire-less and Internet technologies to bring the remote site information to the end user desktop. He is the current Vice-President of Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA) and the Chairman of the SIAA-M2M program. He has presented international professional conference papers sharing his experiences in remote monitoring using M2M technologies.

Er. Liang Foo Jee - Director Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd Er Liang Foo Jee graduated with a Professional Diploma in Civil Engineering with a Certificate of Merit from the Singapore Polytechnic in 1964. In the midst of his engineering career, he further obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in 1970 and a Master of Science (Construction) in 1977 from University of Singapore.

Upon his graduation from the Singapore Polytechnic, he joined Gammon Malaya Ltd as Jr. Assistant Engineer in 1964. In 1966, he was offered a post by West’s Piling (Malaysia) Ltd as a site engineer to mainly manage piling sites under the term contract awarded by Housing and Development Board (HDB), the largest developer in Singapore.

In 1968, he decided to join the HDB where he was widely involved in design and construction of infrastructures as well as superstructures. He was awarded the Public Admin Medal (PPA) in 1985 and later Long Service Medal (PBS) by the President of Singapore in recognition of his contributions. He retired from the HDB as a Principal Civil Engineer in 1998. He has been with Tritech Consultants since its inception in year 2000. The spectrum of his vast engineering experience has been further widen after joining Tritech where he is involved in geotechnical engineering.

Er Liang has been a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore since 1973. He is also a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineer (MICE) and a Chartered Engineer, England. Er Liang believes in “Engineering is not an exact science’, therefore he applies flexibility in engineering supervision and management works, but he is quite firm in engineering assessment and decision.

Dr Lim Ken Chai, Executive Director Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd Dr Lim is the Director of Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd. involving in marketing, R&D and design works in various specialized geotechnical designs and master planning. His engineering experiences are in the deep excavations, tunneling, ground movement analysis, soil-structure numerical analysis and instrumentation interpretation. Dr Lim also has vast experiences in environmental baseline reporting, impact assessment and reviewing for various petrochemical and manufacturing industries.

Dr Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in 1997. Under the supervision of Professors Lee Fook Hou and Phoon Kok Kwang of National University of Singapore, he completed his PhD thesis on 3-Dimensional modeling of shield tunneling using advanced numerical methods. His research works have made advances to areas in iterative solvers suitable for large scale predictive analysis. This technology is currently been further developed under Tritech and projected for commercial purposes.

Apart from working experiences, Dr LIM is also actively involved as a committee member in the Institute Engineer of Singapore (Geotechnical and Transportation Division) promoting the advances and awareness of geotechnical issues to fellow Civil Engineers.

He is also a technical committee member for SINGLAS Technical Committee Member for Testing on Civil Engineering Materials and a Member of South East Asia Geotechnical Society. Recently, he was nominated to represent Singapore to attend the prestigious 3rd Young International Geotechnical conference held in Osaka, 2005.

Dr How You Chuan, Deputy General Manager Terra Tritech Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd Dr. How is in charge of the operation of Terra Tritech Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia involving marketing, contracting, R&D and design of various specialized and innovative geotechnical solutions. He has vast experience in design and construction of soil nailing, micropiling, ground anchor, stone columns and various types of grouting works.

After graduating in Year 1998 with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University of Malaya, Dr. How furthered his postgraduate study at the National University of Singapore. Under the supervision of Prof. Chow Y.K. and Prof. Wang C.M., he completed his PhD study on piled raft foundation and was conferred his Ph.D degrees in Civil Engineering in Year 2003.

Throughout his career Dr. How has specialized in design and construction of geotechnical works. He has been actively involved in many “Design and Build’ projects in Singapore and Malaysia which cover micropiling, slope stabilization using soil nails & ground anchors, rock stabilization, underpinning, grouting techniques, vibro methods and instrumentation monitoring. He is a specialist in ground engineering works and played important roles in major civil engineering and infrastructure projects. He has great interest and commitment in geotechnical engineering and aims to apply new technologies and methods into practical works.

Mr. Francis Lim - Deputy General Manager Tritech-Geokon Singapore Pte Ltd Francis Lim is in charge of Tritech-Geokon Singapore Pte Ltd business operation, focussing on providing state-of-the-art Information Technology solutions to business partners and clients of all sizes. Some of the key services provided are professional IT consultation, project management, systems integration and maintenance services.

A graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing, he has worked wth various multi-national companies in different projects and holding key responsibilities as an IT Consultant. One of the key projects was the development and implementation of network infrastructure of a major international airport is South East Asia.

Applying new technology into business processes to help improve efficiency, increase productivity and reduce operational costs is his forte and he shares this vision and objective to all his valued clients.
